How does the process work?
You send me a few photos of your pet, and I create a custom mosaic that captures their personality and presence. I’ll guide you if I need anything more, and keep the process simple from start to finish.
What do you need from me to get started?
A few clear photos in good lighting are ideal. If you’re unsure which ones to send, feel free to send them all—I use them to understand your pet from different angles, expressions, and moments, not just to choose a single image.
How long does it take?
Most pieces are completed within a few weeks, depending on size and current orders. I’ll give you a more specific timeframe when we connect.
Can you work from old or imperfect photos?
Yes. I can work from older or lower-quality images, and I’ll sometimes ask a few questions to better understand details that aren’t clear. A short conversation can go a long way in helping me capture your pet accurately.
Can you change or create a custom background?
Yes. I can simplify, adjust, or completely reimagine the background using mosaic color and pattern so the focus stays on your pet. I also welcome input if you have a specific color or feature you’d like included.
Who chooses the frame?
To maintain durability, most pieces include a built-in mosaic frame as part of the overall design. This keeps the portrait cohesive and suitable for indoor or covered outdoor display. If you have a preference, I’m happy to incorporate that.
Will the colors fade over time or in sunlight?
No. Glass mosaic is highly durable and the colors will not fade. Wall pieces can be displayed indoors or in covered outdoor areas.
Is this suitable as a memorial piece?
Yes. Many of my portraits are created in remembrance of a beloved pet. My portrait stones are often used in memorial gardens, and wall pieces can be displayed indoors or in covered outdoor spaces.
Do you offer gift options?
Yes. Custom portraits make meaningful gifts, and I can provide gift certificates if you’d like the recipient to be part of the process. I’m also happy to ship directly to them if needed.
